PCP: Getting sick
Day after day, I see people coming in with congestion, drainage, tender maxillary sinuses, and cough. Most of these cases are allergy-related, which means they're not contagious. But once in a while we do get the real infectious deal: MRSA, sinusitis, pneumonia, flu, etc. After a semi-exciting day (got to watch another sebaceous cyst get trained and Dr. P taught me the names of all the instruments), I went home and immediately developed a fever. I don't have a thermometer to see how bad it is, but it's the same MO each time: HA and chills. Thank goodness tomorrow is only a half day; I need to rest.
